Your Funds are Insured up to $500,000
Your accounts are backed by the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF), a fund maintained by the U.S. Treasury and administered by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA). NCUA coverage is to credit unions as the FDIC, or Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, coverage is to banks. Both funds are backed by the full faith and credit of the United States Government.
CAMPUS USA Credit Union accounts are federally insured by the National Credit Union Administration, a U.S. Government Agency, up to $250,000 and privately up to $250,000 by Excess Share Insurance, a subsidiary of American Share Insurance, the nation’s largest private deposit insurer for credit unions. This is the highest combination of federal and private insurance available, up to $500,000.
